WHAT TO EXPECT
What happens in your child’s trial class
No audition. No assessment. Just a genuinely enjoyable first experience.
Welcome and warmup
The teacher introduces the group. A short, fun activity gets everyone comfortable and thinking , no pressure, no wrong answers.
Guided writing activity
Students work through a structured writing exercise together. The teacher shows the method step by step so your child experiences exactly how FunFox works.
Discussion and feedback
Students share what they’ve written. The teacher gives encouraging, specific feedback. Your child leaves knowing what they did well and one thing to try next time.
After the trial class, a member of our team will follow up with you , to answer any questions and help you decide if FunFox is right for your child. No hard sell. Just a conversation.
WHAT TO HAVE READY
What to have ready on class day
A device with zoom
Laptop, tablet, or desktop. Zoom is free to download. Your class link will be in your confirmation email.
A pencil and blank paper
Your child will write during the class. Paper and pencil nearby is all they need , no printed worksheets required for the trial.
A reasonably quiet spot
Doesn’t need to be perfect. Somewhere your child can hear the teacher and focus for an hour.
Stable internet
Standard home WiFi is fine. If your internet is unreliable, a hotspot works too.

Last few questions before you book
Completely free. No credit card required to book. No obligation to enrol after. It’s a genuine first class, not a sales pitch disguised as a session. If you love it, we’ll tell you how to enrol. If it’s not right, there’s no awkward conversation.
Nothing at all. Just show up with a working device, stable internet, and a pencil and paper nearby. Everything else is provided in the class. Your child doesn’t need to have written anything or prepared anything in advance.
A member of our team will call or message you, usually within 24 hours. We’ll ask how your child found it, answer any questions you have, and if you’d like to enrol, we’ll walk you through the process. There’s no pressure and no deadline.
For Year 1, yes, we ask parents to be present. For Year 2, we recommend being nearby. From Year 3 onwards your child joins independently. You can always watch from a distance without your child knowing, many parents do this on the trial class to see the dynamic for themselves.
Join the waitlist for that slot and we’ll notify you as soon as a space opens. In the meantime, we’d recommend booking a different available slot for the trial, you can always switch to your preferred time after the trial if you decide to enrol.
